Sometimes having a baby or small children definitely feels like you’re on your own and far from civilisation so it’s not surprising there are so many similarities to going camping in the bush.  Here are 10 reasons why I think they are alike:

  1. Your car has a crapload of stuff in it.
  2. Your day revolves around meals because they’re the best part of your day.
  3. But. . .usually you feel like you’ve done nothing when the day comes to a close.
  4. Baked beans on toast counts as a dinner meal.
  5. A cup of tea tastes so good after all the effort that gets put into making it.
  6. You’re desperately longing for a hot shower and if you get one it is absolute bliss.
  7. Going to the shops for bread and milk is a bit painful.
  8. You don’t mind going to bed early and the little ones are up at the crack of dawn.
  9. You’re all sleeping in the same room.
  10. It can be boring and slow at times but it makes you appreciate the simple things in life!
