Kat is a compiling a coffee table book with fellow writer, Phoebe Hartley, about their beautiful town of Gisborne and the people who live and work there. They want to celebrate their community and highlight the diverse stories found in their neighbourhood. Follow their Facebook page, Our Town – Gisborne, for updates on their progress and to get a sneak peek of the amazing people who will feature in the book.

Kat is currently seeking a publisher for her debut novel, 22 Things, a coming of age memoir.
Confused about her relationship and career choice post-university in 2004, Katrina impulsively applies to teach in Japan. Expecting a wholesome adventure, she gets more than she bargained for living on a shoestring, handling a long distance relationship and dealing with a toxic roommate who makes her life hell. Katrina wanted to escape her life in Australia but now she’s wondering if she needs to escape Japan.
22 Things is a tale of taking a leap, braving the tough stuff, working out who you are, and finding friendship in the most unlikely places.
